Why you shouldn’t send suspicious files to the Recycle Bin

If you’ve been using Microsoft Windows for a while you probably know that deleting a file doesn’t really remove it from the system.

Instead, it’s actually moved to a special folder called the Recycle Bin.

That’s generally a good thing because we all occasionally delete a file by mistake or wish we hadn’t deleted a file at some later point in time.

Having our deleted files go into the Recycle Bin makes it easy to restore one of them to it’s original folder in either of the above-mentioned cases.

But unfortunately some files can become problematic if we allow them to sit idly in the Recycle Bin.

Question from Malinda:  I have an almost new Acer laptop with Windows 11 on it.

It was working fine until I turned it on yesterday morning, but now I can’t see the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen unless I move my mouse down there.

This laptop comes standard with Windows 11 Home edition installed on it, but I can get it with Windows 11 Pro instead for $90 extra.

Q&A: Can I have Windows start up with one specific folder already open?

Question from Alma:  I have a computer with Windows 11 on it and I’m hoping you can answer a question for me.

Every time I use my computer I start by accessing the files in one specific folder and I keep that folder open at all times.

It’s a hassle having to open File Explorer and navigate to that folder every time I turn on the computer.

It would be wonderful if I could have Windows start up every time with that folder already open so I can get right to work.

Don’t like the centered Taskbar in Windows 11? Move it.

It’s clear that for the most part Windows 11 is simply Windows 10 with a fresh new coat of paint.

While I actually like a few of the minor changes Microsoft has made with the new Windows 11 interface, there is one that I really dislike: the centered Taskbar and Start button.
