Every now and then I’ll receive a message asking me “Why do you recommend that folks buy their tech gear from Amazon?”
And that’s a great question, because I do recommend them a LOT!
Well, there are actually several reasons why I love steering folks to Amazon:
1 – I love shopping at Amazon myself. Scarcely a week goes by when I fail to receive a package from them.
2 – Amazon is one of the most trusted retailers in the world because they take great pains to safeguard your personal information and make sure you receive exactly what you paid for.
3 – Their customer service is efficient, friendly and quick to resolve any issues that happen to arise.
4 – Their return policy is quite liberal, and in my experience it has always been entirely hassle-free.
5 – Their prices are very competitive, often beating the prices of their brick and mortar competitors by wide margins (especially on tech items).
6 – Amazon offers free shipping on millions of items when your order totals $25 or more. If an item qualifies for free shipping that fact will be clearly marked on the item detail page.
7 – Amazon Prime (#ad) members get free two-day shipping on thousands of qualifying products.
8 – Thanks to Amazon’s user review and rating system, you can quickly learn how satisfied other consumers were with the very same product you are considering for purchase. Many products have been reviewed literally thousands of times, so it’s easy to get a feel for a given product’s strengths and weaknesses.
9 – Amazon typically posts the most complete and accurate product descriptions that you’re likely to find anywhere on the Internet, making it easy to fully evaluate an item before you buy it.
10 – Ordering on Amazon is a fast and easy process. In fact, after you have made your first purchase, subsequent purchases typically require only a click or two of the mouse.
Bottom line: I recommend Amazon because I’m a very satisfied (and frequent) Amazon customer myself. And the reasons listed above are why that is.
