Q&A: Can I Like a Facebook page but block its posts from my newsfeed?

Posted on February 21, 2023

Question from Maria:  A good friend of mine kept hounding me to “Like” her Facebook page.

I finally did and now I’m seeing posts she’s putting up that I have no desire to see.

Can I change a setting somewhere that’ll let me stop receiving the posts but still “Like” the page?  [Read more…]

Q&A: How do I type upside down text on Facebook?

Posted on February 19, 2023

Question from Chandra:  I see people writing upside down text on Facebook all the time.

I’d like to give it a go myself but I can’t figure out how they do it. Can you tell me?

Rick’s answer:  I sure can Chandra, and it’s literally as easy as doing a simple “Cut and Paste” operation. [Read more…]

I’d rather not do that if I can possibly avoid it.  [Read more…]

Posted on February 10, 2023

Question from Brett:  I need your help with something if you don’t mind, Rick.

I travel frequently on business, often to other countries (mostly to western Europe but occasionally to South and Central America as well).

The problem I’m having is every time I click on my bookmark to load Google it takes me to the Google site for whichever country I’m in at the time.

I really need for my browser to load the Google search results for the United States at all times because only those results are relevant to the research I do for my job.

Do you know of a way to force Google to always show the American search results no matter which country I’m in at the time?  [Read more…]
