Soon after Microsoft released Windows 10 back in July 2015 I began receiving occasional questions from folks asking when they would be releasing Windows 11.

Every time someone asked I emailed my contact on the Windows 10 Development Team to find out when Microsoft would be releasing Windows 10’s successor. The answer was always an emphatic…

“There will be no successor. Windows 10 is the last version of Windows ever.“

Therefore, that was always my answer as well.

And as you can see here, the folks at TechRadar were receiving the same answer from Microsoft.

Well now it appears that the powers that be at Microsoft have changed their mind.

Question from Yvonne:  I’ve started seeing those posts asking people to post their senior year photos again.

I know there’s a lot of scams and hoaxes on Facebook. Is this one of them?

I guess what I’m really asking is if it’s safe to participate in this? I really like the idea but only if it’s safe.

Review: iVANKY Docking Station Pro for MacBooks

Posted on June 22, 2021

Apple’s MacBook Pro and MacBook Air lines of laptops are excellent machines, but one of their few major negatives for many users is the lack of I/O ports.

For some people this isn’t really an issue, but for lots of others it’s a huge deal because of all the legacy USB gadgets they’d love to use with their machines.

This has led to a boom in external docking stations that expand the MacBook Pro and Air’s existing ports into several, while also adding extra capabilities.

I’ve had the opportunity to check out several of these devices, and today I’m going to tell you about a fantastic new docking station from the folks at iVANKY.

How to make sure you’ll never get locked out of your Facebook account

Posted on June 17, 2021

I frequently receive frantic messages from Facebook users asking how they can regain access to their accounts when they’re unable to reset their passwords.

Unfortunately, in most of those cases I’m unable to help those folks reset their passwords and get back into their accounts.

That means they have no choice but to abandon their accounts and open new ones.

People find themselves in this situation because Facebook has determined that it’s better to have some people locked out of their accounts forever than to make it easy for hackers to reset the passwords of unsuspecting users.

It always bothers me to have to tell someone I won’t be able to help them get back into their Facebook account, but unfortunately that’s just the reality we are faced with for the time being.

Now all of the above being said, there are steps you can take right now to ensure that you’ll be able to reset your Facebook password if you ever forget it or if a hacker breaks into your account and changes the password.
