Today’s Quick Tip….

Does your Windows 10 laptop’s keyboard have keys that are missing, stuck, or simply not working?

If so, you can always either take the laptop to a repair shop and have the bad keyboard replaced or simply plug an external ‘desktop’ keyboard into an empty USB port.

But what if you really need to use the laptop before you’ll have an opportunity to do one of those things?

Well, here’s a solution for you: Turn on the laptop’s “Onscreen Keyboard”. Here’s how:

1 – Click the Start button.

2 – Click the Settings icon (it looks like a ‘gear‘ or ‘cog‘).

3 – Click Ease of Access.

4 – Click the Keyboard link in the left-hand column.

5 – Toggle the “Use the On-screen Keyboard” option to On.

That’s all there is to it. Now you can ‘type’ with your mouse. Alternatively, if your laptop has a touch screen you can just type with your finger.
