Tip for protecting your PC from a bad Windows Update
Fairly often after Microsoft releases a major Windows update my inbox will get flooded with messages from folks whose PCs stopped working as expected after the update was installed.
Those situations can often be resolved by simply uninstalling the problematic update, but in rare cases the only effective solution is for the user to either reset the Windows installation or go nuclear and reinstall Windows from scratch.
You can potentially save yourself a major headache if you’ll get into the habit of creating a new System Image Backup before you being installing a major Windows update.
Dealing with a buggy Windows update is never fun, but having a recent System Image Backup on hand can make the process of getting your machine back up and running a lot faster and easier if things go so far south that simply uninstalling the buggy update doesn’t do the trick.
