facebook-messenger-app-logoA while back I wrote a post alerting users that Facebook is removing the messaging feature from the popular Facebook Mobile app and encouraging everyone to download the Facebook Messenger app to use in its place.

Since then several people have asked me if there are any alternatives to the Facebook Messenger app, so I decided to do a little research to see what’s available and which apps are the most popular among Facebook users.

Facebook is removing the Messaging feature from its mobile app

facebook-logoDo you use Facebook’s mobile app to send and receive messages via your Android or iOS device? If so, you won’t be able to do it much longer.

Facebook has announced that they are now in the process of rolling out a new version of the Facebook app that doesn’t include the messaging feature. Scam Alert: Beware the latest Facebook virus scam

scamWell, the Facebook hackers and scammers are at it again (as if they ever take a break).

The latest scam tries to entice users to click on a fake video of a scantily clad lady who is apparently in the process of taking off her clothes.

How to switch from ‘Top Stories’ to ‘Most Recent’ in the new Facebook app

facebook-logoWell, Facebook is at it again. They’ve made yet another change in their mobile app that makes “Top Stories” the default option for the news feed instead of “Most Recent”.
