How to log out of Facebook remotely using a different device

Have you ever logged into your Facebook account at work and forgot to log back out before leaving for the day?

Or perhaps you borrowed a friend’s smartphone to post a quick status update and then handed the phone back to him/her without logging out?

Even worse, perhaps something happened that leads you to believe that someone else (a hacker perhaps?) was logged into your account on a remote device?

Q&A: Why does Facebook make you enter your birthdate if you can just hide it?

Question from Sheryl:  I just finished helping my sister set up a Facebook account and something about the setup process puzzled me.

One of the things they asked for was her birthdate. She didn’t want to enter it but there was no way to skip it.

Since she couldn’t avoid entering a birthdate we simply made one up.

Question from Vicki: Hi, Rick. I have a question re: Facebook Reporting.

I was wondering if you could clear up a big disagreement between two of my friends?

One of them believes if your account is reported by another user Facebook tell you who reported you. The other one disagrees.

Personally, I don’t believe they will because I’ve reported lots of people and no one has ever complained to me about it.

Question from Doreen:  I always try to send birthday greetings to all of my Facebook friends on their actual birthdays, but sometimes things come up and I can’t get on Facebook at all on a given day.

When I log into Facebook the next day, the birthdays from the day before are gone.
