Question from Larry Y.: Hi Rick. I read your post explaining how to avoid the automatic update to Windows 10, but I have a different problem.

I upgraded my Dell Desktop computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 a couple of months ago and ever since then I can’t get Windows Update to work correctly. When I click “Check for updates” it goes through the motions but it never finds any updates.

I’ve read every forum post I can find relating to Windows Update but nothing I’ve tried has worked. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Do you have an Apple device that’s running iOS 9? If so, Apple has just released a new update that you really need to install.

iOS 9.0.1 isn’t categorized as a critical update, but I believe it’s an important one because it fixes a number of bugs that cause various features and apps on your device(s) to behave in strange ways.

This update also fixes a bug that prevented some users from even being able to update their devices to iOS 9 in the first place.

Microsoft released Windows 10 on July 29, and millions of users have taken the plunge and installed the free Windows 10 upgrade onto their Windows 7 or 8.1 PCs.

As one might expect, some folks love Windows 10 while others would prefer to go back to their old Windows version.

Q&A: Can I upgrade my PC from Windows 8.1/32 bit to Windows 10/64 bit?

Question from Kelly T.: Rick, I have a question that I need for you to clarify for me if you don’t mind.

I bought a used computer from a guy off of Craigslist. It’s running Windows 8.1/32 bit. I checked, and this PC has a 64 bit CPU.

I know that this computer is eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10, but I’d like to know if I’ll be able to upgrade to the 64 bit version of Windows 10 or if I’ll be stuck with the 32 bit version because the Windows 8.1 that’s on it now is 32 bit?

I have asked several people about this and they gave me conflicting answers.
