Today’s Quick Tip….

How to tweak the Start Menu in Windows 11

If you’ve made the jump to Windows 11 you’ve probably noticed that it has a brand new Start Menu.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the Start Menu’s new look so one of the first things I did was look for ways to tweak it a bit.

First of all, you probably won’t use all the existing icons that Microsoft has placed on the Start menu by default. Just right-click on any icons you want to remove and select Unpin from Start.

After you’ve removed all the icons you won’t be using from the Start Menu you’ll probably want to add a few that you will be using.

To do that just click the All Apps link and look for an app you want to add, then right-click on it and select Pin To Start. Repeat this process until you have added all the apps you want to have on there.

And finally, you can change the order in which the icons are displayed. Just click on them and drag them to the positions of your choosing.
