Today’s quick tech tip….

If you’re colorblind, this Windows feature might help

Colorblindness affects hundreds of millions of people world-wide to one degree or another, ranging all the way from a minor red-green deficiency to the complete inability to distinguish colors at all.

If you have some degree of colorblindness and you have trouble seeing things on your computer screen, both Windows 10 and Windows 11 have a feature called Color Filters that might help.

I won’t go into step-by-step detail here with instructions for using it because it’ll involve using a fair amount of trial-and-error until you find the settings that work best for you, but this Microsoft Support page has all the info you need to get started.

Just select either the Windows 10 or Windows 11 tab for instructions that match your Windows version.

Rick’s Daily Pick…

Acer 21.5 Inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS Monitor (#ad)

Regular readers of my blog knows I’m a huge advocate for using multiple monitors with a PC.

The thing is, that second (or third) monitor doesn’t have to cost the equivalent of a king’s ransom. For example, this one can be had for about a hundred buck, and possibly less.

Today’s post from ‘My Daily Smile’…

Video: The Man of a Thousand Voices

A man of incredible talent.

Tech news that caught my eye…

• Apple’s new encryption effects could stretch across tech

• Support King, banned by FTC, linked to new phone spying operation

• This devious phishing campaign uses Facebook messages to trick its victims

• Linux, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft want to break the Google Maps monopoly

• Opinion: The top things the next version of Windows needs to succeed

Wondering how you can help me keep doing what I’m doing?

1 – If you’d like to help support my work, you can do so by leaving me a tip.

Every penny of your tip will go towards my blog’s web hosting and other related fees, which are substantial.

2 – You can Forward this email to a friend along with a short note of recommendation. (Just click the “Forward” button or link.)

Rest assured that anything you can do to help me keep helping folks will be greatly appreciated.
