Today’s Quick Tip….

How to quickly find the warranty status for any Apple device

Do you own a Mac, an iPhone or some other type of Apple device?

If so, there could well come a time when you’ll need to find out if the device is still under warranty.

Luckily, Apple has made it very easy to instantly discover the warranty status of any Apple device. Just follow the steps below:

1 – If you don’t already have it at hand, find your gadget’s serial number using one of the methods detailed on this page.

2 – Visit checkcoverage.apple.com and type the serial number into the first empty box on the page.

3 – Type the alphanumeric code you see in the shaded box into the empty box that’s located right below it.

4 – Click the Continue button and your device’s warranty status will be displayed on the screen.

That’s all there is to it. You’re done!

Rick’s Daily Pick…

iPhone 12/13 Apple MFi Certified Fast Charger and Cable combo (2 pack)  (#ad)

Are you planning to give someone a new iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 for Christmas this year?

If so you’ll need to keep in mind that those phones don’t come with a charger.

If you decide to give the recipient a charger along with the phone, this would be a great choice.

By the way, since this is actually a 2-pack (two chargers and two cables) you can even keep one for yourself.

Today’s post from ‘My Daily Smile’…

Which Time Zone is used at the South Pole?

If you find time zones confusing, just imagine being at the South Pole where all the world’s longitudinal lines converge. This post explains how to make sense of it all.

Tech news that caught my eye…

• Talking Tech podcast: How to protect your phone number

• Install the Microsoft Teams update for Android now to fix 911 calling bug

• Bitcoin mining has totally recovered from Chinese ban

• Apple’s app tracking transparency feature isn’t an instant privacy button

• Reshipping scams target job-seekers looking for remote work. Beware these red flags.
