Today’s quick tech tip….

How to see which version of ChromeOS is on your Chromebook

If you have a Chromebook there will likely come a time when you’ll need to find out which version of ChromeOS is running on the device.

As luck would have it, you can easily view the both the version number and build number of your ChromeOS installation with just a few clicks of your mouse. Here’s how:

1 – Click the Time display in the lower-right corner of the screen.

2 – Click the Settings icon (it looks like a “gear”).

3 – Click About ChromeOS.

That’s all there is to it. You should now see your Chromebook’s ChromeOS version and build number displayed on the screen.

Bonus tip: While you’re there, you can optionally check to see if there are any updates available for the device. Just click the Check for updates button.
