How to quickly preview a file on your Mac without opening it

Did you know there’s an easy way to quickly view a full-size preview of almost any type of file that’s on your Mac without having to take the time to actually open it?

This feature is aptly named “Quick Look” and it’s extremely easy to use. Simply select the file with your mouse and press the Space Bar.

Yep, it really is that simple.

But you can actually do a lot more with Quick Look than simply view the contents of an individual file. This Apple Support page details everything you can do with this amazingly handy feature.
