Today’s quick tech tip….

How to type the Copyright symbol into any document

If you do a lot of typing on your computer there might come a time when you’ll need to place a Copyright symbol into a document.

The thing is, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a Copyright key anywhere on the keyboard. But don’t worry, you can still add one to your document in a jiffy.

If you have a Windows PC, simply place the cursor in the location where you want to the Copyright symbol to appear, then press and hold the Alt key and type the numbers 0169 on your keyboard’s numeric keypad.

Note: You won’t be able to use the numbers that are located above the letter keys. You’ll have to use the numeric keypad instead.

If you have a Mac, press and hold the Option key, then press the G key.

These keyboard shortcuts work pretty much all the time unless you have a Windows laptop that doesn’t have a numeric keypad.

Luckily, there’s another very simple way to “type” a Copyright symbol into a document if you’re unable to use a keyboard shortcut for some reason…

Simply visit this page and highlight the Copyright symbol in the gray box over on the right, then copy it to the Clipboard. You can now paste it into your document wherever you want it.
