Today’s quick tech tip….

Reminder: Never log into a third-party website or app with Facebook

A while back I wrote a post explaining the dangers of signing into third-party websites and apps with your Facebook credentials.

I won’t rehash those details here, but if you missed that post I recommend that you click here and read it.

In a nutshell, that post explains how signing into another website or app with Facebook gives that website or app complete access to any and all information and photos in your account that’s set to public.

It also explains what you need to do to secure your info if you have already used Facebook to log into any third-party site or app.

The bottom line is this: If you have ever used Facebook as a convenient log-in tool for another website or app, your info and photos could already be in the possession of that site’s/app’s vendor.

If you’re currently using Facebook to sign into things, I recommend that you stop immediately. And if you’ve never done it before, don’t start.

Onite USB LED Camping Light (#ad)

Do you wish you had a steady source of bright light that you can use on your camping trips?

How about when the power goes off at home?

Well this little gem puts out plenty of light, but it only draws a mere 5 watts from its power source.

Plug this portable LED light into any portable power bank and you’ll have light whenever and wherever you need it.
