Today’s quick tech tip….

Send a link to a YouTube video and have it start playing at a specific point

Do you ever send somone a link to a YouTube video and wish you could have it start playing at a point of your choosing instead of at the beginning?

Well, truth be told, you can if you access YouTube via a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer. Here’s how:

1 – Visit YouTube in your web browser and start playing the video you want to link to.

2 – Pause the video at the point where you want the recipient to start viewing it at.

3 – Right-click on the paused video and click Copy video URL at current time.

That’s all there is to it. You can now paste the URL you just copied into an email or a post on your favorite social media platform, or simply send it via an instant message.

Basically, anywhere you can paste a link is fair game.

When the recipient(s) clicks on the link the video will automatically open and start playing at the specific point you selected.
