How to retrieve your WiFi password from a Windows 11 PC
A while back I wrote this post explaining how to retrieve a forgotten WiFi password from a PC running Windows 10.
I have received several requests for help with retrieving the password from Windows 11 machines since the procedure is quite different than the one used for Windows 10.
If you ever forget the password to your WiFi network you can easily retrieve it from your Windows 11 PC by following the steps below:
1 – Click the Start button.
2 – Click the Settings icon (it looks like a ‘gear‘ or ‘cog‘).
3 – In the left-hand column click Network & Internet.
4 – Click Advanced network settings.
5 – Scroll down and click More network adapter options.
6 – Right-click on the active WiFi connection and then select Status from the drop-down menu.
7 – Click the Wireless Properties button.
8 – Select the Security tab.
9 – Click Show characters to reveal the hidden password.
