How to (temporarily) block a friend’s posts from your Facebook Newsfeed

Posted on September 7, 2022

Do you ever feel like you really need to take a temporary break from seeing one your friend’s posts in your Facebook Newsfeed?

For example, you might have a friend who generally posts interesting things that you really enjoy seeing but they have a habit of getting overbearingly political during election season.

Well, as luck would have it Facebook provides a way to take a temporary (30 day) break from seeing such a friend’s posts in your Newsfeed.  [Read more…]

Question from Kayleigh:  I’ve noticed that sometimes when I look at someone’s profile on Facebook there’s no “Add Friend” button.

But the above being said, the text typically reads something like this:  [Read more…]

Q&A: How can I prevent people from tagging me on Facebook?

Posted on August 17, 2022

Question from Audrey:  Hi, Rick! I have a Facebook question for you.

Is there any way to block people from tagging me in their posts?

I hate it when I’m tagged in a photo or status update that’s embarrassing or doesn’t even pertain to me in some way.

Thanks in advance for your help.
