Today’s quick tech tip….

How to use your phone as a voice recorder

Are you old enough to remember the small ‘voice recorder’ devices that we used to take notes, record lectures or do most anything else that required us to record the ambient audio back in the day?

They sure were popular, especially with college students.

I remember how one of my professors spoke so rapidly that I simply couldn’t keep up with my note-taking. Let me tell you, my voice recorder really came in handy for that class.

Well, did you know you can use your own smartphone as a full-featured voice recorder? If you have an Android phone all you have to do is install a good voice recorder app.

Personally, I prefer Smart Recorder due to its combination of powerful features, its incredible ease of use and the fact that it doesn’t collect any data.

If you’d prefer to use a different voice recorder app you’ll find plenty to choose from in the Google Play Store. Just do a search for the term voice recorder and choose an app that’s rated highly.

But what about the iPhone? Well, I have some great news…

If you have an iPhone you already have everything you need because it already has a fantastic voice recorder app called Voice Memos.

Enjoy!
