As I reported in this post, Microsoft has announced that Windows 11 will officially be released to the masses on October 5.

I’ve received a ton of feedback about this with about half the respondents saying they’ll be sticking with Windows 10 and the other half chomping at the bit to install Windows 11 ASAP.

Question from Aaron L.:  A while back I replaced the hard drive in my HP laptop with an SSD, then installed Windows 7 from the DVD.

After I got all the Windows Updates installed I upgraded the system to Windows 10.

I bought one of the external USB drive enclosures for the old hard drive, then I plugged it into a USB port and copied all of my files onto another external drive.

The SSD is working great and so is the old hard drive (which is now being used as an external drive). The problem is the old drive still contains the original partitions for the operating system and the system recovery files.

Question from Phillip W.:  Rick, I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 on it and I need your help fixing a problem I’m having with it.

I downloaded a game from a free games website and now some of the keys on my keyboard produce strange characters when I press them.

The letters look normal but they have various punctuation marks added to them almost like I’m typing in a foreign language. How can I fix this?
