Q&A: Why are the files I delete not going into the Recycle Bin?

Question from Matthew:  I have a Dell laptop that I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Before the upgrade, whenever I would delete a file it went into the “Recycle Bin” where I could recover it later if I wanted to.

But now under Windows 11, all the files that I delete are gone forever and nothing ever gets placed into the Recycle Bin.

Q&A: How do I remove the previews from my Gmail inbox?

Question from Paul:  I recently switched my email from another service to Gmail and I have a question that I hope you can answer.

My Gmail inbox shows short previews of the email text beside each email’s subject line.

I’ve found that the previews make the screen look crowded and they are distracting to me.
