Q&A: How can I keep my Facebook friends from being notified when I add a new friend?

Posted on September 15, 2019

Question from Dennis J.:  Hi Rick. I have a quick question about Facebook and I’m hoping you can answer it for me.

Is there any way to keep my Facebook friends from being notified when I add a new friend? Some of them get jealous when I add certain people.

If you can tell me how to prevent the new friend notifications from being sent out I’ll appreciate it more than you know.

Like it or not, the future of Windows computers lies in Windows 10.

Q&A: Why am I still missing some of your posts after joining your tech group on Facebook?

Posted on September 10, 2019

Question from Elaine:  Hi Rick. I’m hoping you can help me.

I joined your Rick’s Tech Tips group on Facebook a couple of months ago to make sure I didn’t miss any of your posts.

I just found out however that I’m not being notified every time you publish a new post (and I want to be!).

How can I fix this so I can see all of your posts?

Q&A: How can I view all the photos I’ve ever ‘Liked’ on Facebook?

Posted on September 2, 2019

Question from Angie L.:  I’m trying to find a specific photo of a family member that I liked on Facebook a couple of years back.

The problem is I can’t remember who posted the photo so I don’t know whose photos to look through.

I have lots of family members on Facebook so it would probably take forever to find it.

Do you know of a way to list all the pictures I’ve ever liked in one group so I can look through them and find that one photo that I’m looking for?

Don’t trash that old cell phone or tablet. Donate it to ‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’ instead!

Posted on September 1, 2019

Every year millions of old cell phones and tablets are either recycled, sold for scrap or simply thrown in the trash.

While recycling is certainly a lot better than clogging up our landfills with toxic materials, I have an even better option to tell you about.
