Today’s quick tech tip….

Use the Waze app to find the nearest charging stations for your EV

If you have an electric vehicle (EV) you’ve probably noticed one of their most serious drawbacks: the difficulty of finding a charging station that’s compatible with your car’s brand and model.

While there are new charging stations coming online virtually every day, not all stations are compatible with all EVs.

But the folks at Waze are doing their best to help…

If you have the Waze app on your phone you’ll soon be able to enter your car’s brand and the type of charging plug it takes and the app will point you towards the nearest compatible charging stations.

Of course there are no guarantees that the app can help you get to a station before your battery runs dry, but at least you’ll know where the nearest compatible stations are.

This new feature is set to roll out this week. In fact, it could well be up and running by the time you read this.
