Today’s quick tech tip….

How to quickly convert a color photo to Black & White

Modern cameras are great at taking photos that come alive with vibrant colors, but sometimes an image can have more impact if it’s in “black & white” instead of color.

Luckily, it’s very easy to use most any photo editing app to convert a color photo into a black & white image. Here’s how:

1 – Open the photo in your favorite photo editing app.

2 – Find the “Color” section in the app’s Settings.

3 – Look for a “Remove Color” option. If you find one, select it.

If you don’t see a “Remove Color” option, find the “Saturation” setting and adjust it until the photo appears to be in black & white (you usually do that by moving a slider all the way to the left).

4 – Save the edited photo under a different name to prevent over-writing the original color photo with the black & white copy.

That’s all there is to it. You should now have a retro-looking black & white copy of the color photo you started out with.
