Today’s quick tech tip….

How to forward a text message to someone else

Do you ever send or receive SMS text messages that you need (or want) another person to see?

If you’re right there with that person you can always just pull up the message and hand them your phone, but what if they’re someplace else?

Luckily, it’s very easy to forward any SMS text message to another person’s mobile phone. Just follow the steps below for the type of phone you have.

If you have an Android phone:

Note: In the Android world, the steps for performing various actions can vary a bit from phone to phone. Therefore, you should use the procedure detailed below as a general guide.

1 – Open the conversation that contains the message you want to forward to someone else.

2 – Tap and hold your finger on that message to select it.

3 – Tap the three dots in the corner of the screen, then tap Forward.

4 – Tap the name of the person you want to forward the message to, then tap the Send icon.

Note: If the person you want to forward the message to isn’t on your Contacts list, tap New message and enter the person’s mobile phone number.

If you have an iPhone:

1 – Open the conversation that contains the message you want to forward to someone else.

2 – Tap and hold your finger on that message to select it. A menu should pop up.

3 – Tap More.

4 – Tap the arrow in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

5 – Tap the + (plus sign) in the “To:” field to display your Contacts list.

6 – Tap the name of the person you want to forward the message to, then tap the Send icon.

Note: If the person you want to forward the message to isn’t on your Contacts list, type that person’s mobile phone number into the “To:” field instead of tapping the + sign.

Summer is quickly approaching and that means it’s time to start thinking about keeping your laptop cool in the summer heat.

Over-heating is one of the leading causes of premature component failure in laptops. This little gem can help prevent that from happening to yours.
