Today’s Quick Tip….

How to tell your Mac’s Safari browser to allow pop-ups

Chances are you dislike having pop-ups disrupt your flow when you’re surfing the web, but the problem is many of the sites we use most often simply don’t work well in Safari since it blocks pop-ups by default.

If you constantly find yourself having to manually all pop-ups after Safari has blocked them you can easily disable Safari’s pop-up blocker. Here’s how:

1 – Open the Safari browser on your Mac.

2 – Click Safari on the top menu bar and then click Preferences.

3 – Select the Websites tab.

4 – Click Pop-up Windows in the the left-hand pane.

5 – Change the “When visiting other websites” setting to Allow.

That’s all there is to it. From now on Safari will allow pop-ups to pop up on your screen. Hopefully the worthwhile pop-ups will outnumber the irritating ones.
