Question from Bill:  I have DSL Internet through our local landline telephone company and it seems to be getting slower every day.

I just bought a new desktop computer that has both a wired Ethernet port and a wireless WiFi card in it. That got me to thinking.

Is there any way to use both of those network adapters at once to double my effective Internet speed?  [Read more…]

Question from Chad:  My laptop has a 13 inch screen, and I’d really like to have a much bigger screen to use when I’m watching Netflix.

Is there a simple way to determine which transmitter goes to which device other than a hit-or miss series of tests?

Question from Helen:  Several times a day my web browser will pop up a little box on my computer telling me the website I’m visiting wants to show notifications.

I always answer no because I don’t want to receive notifications from ANY website.

It makes no difference whether I’m using Chrome of Firefox. It happens with both of them.

Is there a way to prevent those browsers from asking me if I want to receive notifications from ANY site?
