Q&A: What’s the best SSD to replace a 1TB hard drive with?

Question from Brad: The 1TB hard drive in my desktop computer has started making odd noises and I’m afraid it’s about to break.

I have already copied all my files onto an external hard drive so I’m prepared if it does go belly up on me.

I’m wanting to replace the failing hard drive with an SSD that has at least the same amount of storage space. I’d like to keep the cost as close to $100 as possible.

Can you could recommend the best SSD for me to get in that price range?

Q&A: How can I uninstall Firefox from my computer?

Question from Perry S.: I have an older Dell desktop PC that I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

I really like this computer and I use it every day to check my email and other various tasks.

I got a low disk space warning the other day so I ran Disk Cleanup and then tried to uninstall several programs that I never use.

Everything uninstalled just fine until I got to Firefox. The Windows Uninstaller tool won’t remove it, and neither will Revo Uninstaller.

Do you know of a way to remove Firefox from this machine? Perhaps a manual method that I could try?

Q&A: I accidentally formatted my USB hard drive. Can I recover my pictures from it?

I accidentally formatted the external USB hard drive that I use to store all of my scanned family photos with my Mac.

I meant to format the drive I use to store my Mac backups but I accidentally plugged in the wrong drive!

Q&A: Why are some websites failing to load in Chrome?

Question from Kenny: About six months ago I bought a Toshiba laptop with Windows 10 on it.

Everything worked great until three days ago when Chrome started failing to load certain websites.

Some sites load normally, but then other sites get redirected to completely different sites when I click on their links.

Still other sites won’t load at all. The only thing I get is a white error screen.

I tried clearing the browser history and when that failed to fix it I even removed Chrome and reinstalled it. But the problem is still there.

Can you tell me what’s wrong and how to fix it?
