Q&A: Can I block ‘App Invites’ from just one Facebook friend?

Question from Gene:  Rick, is there any way to block app invites from just one friend on Facebook while still allowing other people to send them to me?

I read your post explaining how to block ALL app and game requests on Facebook, but I don’t want to do that.

I just want to block the app requests from one specific person. She’s driving me nuts trying to get me to use an app that I really don’t want to use.

I don’t want to block her completely or unfriend her. All I want to do is block her stupid app requests.

Q&A: Can I save Microsoft 365 files to my computer instead of OneDrive?

Question from Marge:  I’ve used the desktop version of MS Office for years, but I recently switched to Microsoft 365.

It took me a few days to get used to it but I believe I’m going to like it ok. There’s one thing that I need help with though.

Every time I create a new document in any Microsoft 365 app and tell it to save the file it always saves it to OneDrive.

I don’t feel comfortable using online storage, for several reasons. Is it possible to make Microsoft 365 save my files to my computer’s hard drive instead of to OneDrive?  [Read more…]

Q&A: How do I disable ‘Facebook Live Video’ notifications?

Question from Pete L.:  Several of my Facebook friends use “Facebook Live Video” to broadcast all kinds of stupid stuff.

Personally, I find the invitations to view their videos to be very irritating.

I’ve watched a few of these videos in the pastout of curiosity and I have no desire to ever watch another one.

How can I completely disable Facebook Live Notifications and prevent them from popping up when I’m using Facebook?

Q&A: How can I find out which websites have access to my Facebook data?

Question from Mark:  I read your blog post explaining why it’s a bad idea to log into third-party websites with Facebook.

That’s some pretty scary stuff.

My question is how can I see which websites have access to my information right now?

The reason I’m asking is because I’ve used Facebook to log into lots of websites in the past, and I’ve forgotten what most of them were.
