Today’s featured tech tip….

How to prevent the screen from rotating on your Android phone

Do you get frustrated when your Android phone rotates the a photo you’re looking at even when you don’t want it to?

I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. You open a photo to check it out and the screen automatically rotates the image and turns it sideways.

You rotate the phone to get the photo back into the desired orientation only to have it rotate on you again.

The next thing you know you’re shopping for a new phone because you threw the one you had down the nearest storm drain.

Well, there’s a very simple way to ensure that you can always view your Android phone’s screen and photos at the desired orientation. Just go into your phone’s Display settings and disable the Auto-rotate screen setting.

It’s really that simple. From now on your phone’s screen won’t rotate every time you rotate the phone. You can simply rotate the phone manually when you need to view it in a different way.

If you rotate the phone and then end up with a photo oriented incorrectly, just tap the little Rotate icon that pops up in the corner of the screen every time the phone rotates. Problem solved!
