Today’s quick tech tip….
How to disable auto-play videos in the Google Play app
If you’ve used the Google Play app lately you might have noticed that videos now start playing automatically as soon as they scroll into view.
Personally, I am not a fan of auto-playing videos at all. I prefer choosing which videos I want to watch and which ones I want to skip.
If you feel the same way you can easily disable auto-play videos in the app. Here’s how:
1 – Open the Google Play app and tap your small profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen.
2 – Scroll down and tap Settings.
3 – Tap Network preferences.
4 – Tap Auto-play videos and select the Don’t auto-play videos option.
5 – Tap Done.
That’s all there is to it. That should put a stop to those irritating auto-playing videos that do little more than distract you from the task at hand.
