Today’s quick tech tip….

How to add a second clock for another time zone in Windows 11

Do you have a family member or friend who resides in another time zone and you can never seem to get a handle on the local time at their location?

Well, you can add a second clock to your Windows 11 PC that always displays the current time at that location. That way you can avoid waking them up with a 3am phone call.

Just follow the steps below to give your computer a second time zone clock:

1 – Right-click on the date/time display in the lower-right corner of the screen, then click Adjust date and time.

Note: Your computer’s date & time settings should now be open on the screen.

2 – In the right-hand pane, scroll down and click Additional clocks.

3 – Check the box beside the top “Show this clock” setting.

4 – Select the time zone for the location you want to display the local time for.

5 – In the next field, give the new clock a name (Baltimore, Phoenix, Tokyo, etc.).

6 – Click Apply, then click OK.

7 – Close the Settings app.

That’s all there is to it. The date/time display will still show your own local time in the lower-right corner of the screen, but you can quickly view the clock for the second time zone at any time simply by hovering your mouse pointer over the displayed date/time.
