Today’s Quick Tip….

How to set a minimum Font Size for your Mac’s Safari browser

By now you probably know you can increase the Font Size when viewing a web page with tiny print simply by pressing the Command+ key combination (i.e. press the Command key and the + key at the same time).

However, if you find the text too small on virtually every website you visit you can easily force Safari to always use a Font Size that’s at least as large as the one that’s easiest for you to read. That way you won’t have to increase the Font Size manually every time you visit a different site.

Here’s how to make that change:

1 – Click the Safari link on your Mac’s top menu bar, then select Preferences from the drop-down menu.

2 – Select the Advanced tab.

3 – Find the “Accessibility” section and check the box beside “Never Use Font Sizes Smaller Than.”

4 – Select the Font Size that you want to set for the minimum size that Safari will be allowed to use.

That’s all there is to it. From now on every website you visit will be displayed with a Font Size that’s at least as large as the one you set as your preferred minimum.

I recommend experimenting with different minimum Font Sizes until you find the one that suits you (and your eyesight) best.
