Today’s featured tech tip….

How to convert a Mac or Windows PC into a Chromebook

For many years I’ve been recommending Linux as a tool for breathing new life into older computer gear, and I still recommend it today.

However, there’s now another great option for speeding up older hardware and making it secure once again.

Chrome OS Flex is a variation of Google’s Chrome-based operating system that powers the growing family of increasingly popular Chromebooks.

In a nutshell, Chrome OS Flex makes it easy to convert most any macOS or Windows-based computer into a Chrome OS based machine. In other words, it essentially converts it into a “Chromebook”.

But don’t let the description “Chromebook” fool you into thinking this is just for laptops. Chrome OS Flex works on desktop computers as well.

If you’d like to give it a try, simply click the “Chrome OS Flex” link above, then click the Try Chrome OS Flex button.
