What to do if your Android device freezes up on you
Most recent models of Android devices are quite stable, but occasionally a glitchy app or some other issue will cause the device to freeze up and become unresponsive.
When this happens the device fails to respond regardless of what you tap or which physical button you push.
But there’s one simple action that will “unfreeze” virtually any frozen Android device. All you have to do is press and hold its power button until it shuts down.
Some devices will simply power off and stay off, resulting in you having to press the power button again in order to boot it back up to the Lock screen or Home screen.
Other devices will automatically restart on their own after they are forced to shut down.
Remember this very simple tip and you’ll be prepared the next time your Android device decides it no longer wants to respond to your taps and button presses.
