How to prevent Opera from storing your card info
Today I’m continuing the series of tutorials explaining how to prevent your web browser from storing your credit/debit card info.
As I explained in an earlier tip, allowing your browser to store your card info is incredibly convenient, but it’s also incredibly dangerous.
I have provided given instructions for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Today we’re going to tackle Opera. So here we go…
1 – Launch your Opera browser.
2 – Click the Easy Setup icon located in the top-right corner of the window (it looks like three horizontal lines).
3 – Scroll down to the bottom of the slide-out menu and click Go to full browser settings.
4 – In the left-hand pane, click Privacy & security.
5 – In the right-hand pane, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Advanced.
6 – In the “Autofill” section, click Payment methods.
7 – Toggle both settings on this screen to Off (the sliders should turn from blue to gray).
8 – Remove any payment methods that have already been stored.
That’s all there is to it. Any credit or debit cards that were previously stored in Opera should now be gone, and the browser shouldn’t be saving any more of them in the future (unless you decide to reverse the procedure above).
