Today’s quick tech tip….

Q&A: How can I find out if my Mac is still covered by AppleCare

Question from Kyle:  About two years ago I bought a MacBook Air and I paid for the AppleCare extended warranty.

Now it’s started shutting down on me at random times, and when it does I have to wait at least 15-20 minutes before it’ll turn back on.

The thing is, I can’t remember the exact date I bought the machine so the AppleCare might have already expired. How can I find out?

Rick’s answer:  Kyle, there are several ways to get the warranty status of your MacBook Air, but the easiest way is to use Apple’s handy online tool for checking the warranty status of any Apple product.

This tool is very easy to use, but there are several steps to follow. You’ll find step-by-step instructions right here.

I hope this helps, Kyle. I hope you end up getting good news about your MacBook Air’s warranty status.

Acer Aspire Vero AV15-51-7617 Green PC (#ad)

In my humble opinion, this laptop is hard to beat in terms of value.

It has a powerful Intel Core i7 CPU plus plenty of RAM and a decent amount of SSD storage space – all at a very competitive price.
