kmart-logoKmart has just announced that malware has been discovered on a large percentage of their stores’ cash registers, and they also confirmed that customer credit card and debit card information has been stolen.

The bank accounts and/or credit card accounts of customers who shopped at any Kmart store during the last 45 days could possibly be at risk.

Bottom line: If you shopped at a brick and mortar Kmart store during the last month and a half and paid for your purchases with a debit or credit card, it is strongly recommended that you contact your bank or card issuer right away.

Chase Bank hacked – 83 million accounts affected

JPMorgan Chase and Company has announced that hackers have stolen the names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses from a whopping 83 million customer accounts, making this one of the largest security breaches in history.  [Read more…]

Scam Alert: Beware the latest Facebook virus scam

scamWell, the Facebook hackers and scammers are at it again (as if they ever take a break).

The latest scam tries to entice users to click on a fake video of a scantily clad lady who is apparently in the process of taking off her clothes.

But this is no video. It’s actually just a photo that links to a virus-laden web page. If you click the link, your PC can become infected with an insidious piece of malware known as Trojan.Agent.BDYV.  [Read more…]
