Q&A: How can I see who recently accepted my friend request on Facebook?

Posted on June 26, 2022

Question from Mira:  Hi Rick. You might think I’m not very bright after you hear my question, but I hope not lol.

Anyway, I recently sent Facebook friend requests to several people who are on our old high school reunion list.

One of the guys on that list accepted my friend request last night, but now I can’t find the notification where he accepted it and I can’t remember his name.

And before you ask, I’ve lost the list I got the names from in the first place!

Is there any way to see a list of my most recently added friends? [Read more…]

Q&A: Why can’t I find the setting to turn on Facebook Protect?

Posted on May 25, 2022

Question from Sandy:  Rick, I read your warning about getting Facebook Protect enabled on my account.

I tried to find it on both my 6s Plus iPhone and tablet, but I never found it on either device.

My tablet is several years old.

Am I doing something wrong or is it possible that my devices just don’t offer it?  [Read more…]

Want to see what Facebook knows about you? Hint: It’s a lot.

Posted on May 7, 2022

It’s no secret that Facebook gathers all manner of data and info about their users, but most folks have no idea just how much data Facebook has about them, and how broad it is.

Well, it turns out that you can actually view much of the info Facebook has banked about you. All you have to do is click (or tap) through the settings a bit.  [Read more…]

Posted on April 29, 2022

iPhone users have been complaining for years that the Facebook app drains their phone’s battery much faster than it should.

Well, after denying it for ages, Facebook has finally acknowledged that there could well be a problem and they have pledged to fix it “soon”.

Beelink SER3 Mini PC with W11 Pro

I’ve been using mini PCs exclusively in my office for over three years and I doubt if I will ever go back to a full-size or mid-size desktop computer.

The power and capabilities they pack into these things is nothing less than astounding. In a nutshell, you get full desktop power in a machine that’s about the size of a brick.

This little gem from Beelink is an exceptional value for the money in my humble opinion. It comes with an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM and a super-fast 500GB NVME SSD. The Windows 11 Pro is a nice bonus as well.
