They literally bring the Internet to life by allowing us to view and Interact with virtually every website that resides on the Internet today.

Add-Ons and Extensions provide browsers with even more functionality, but one of the handiest things you can do with your browser doesn’t require any extensions or add-ons at all.

Question from Caleb:  I hope you can help me with a browser issue, Rick.

Google Chrome is the only browser I use and I always use it in Incognito Mode. I might be the only one lol.

Is there any way to have Chrome open in Incognito Mode by default so I can skip the step of manually opening an Incognito tab every time?  [Read more…]

Q&A: Can I retrieve a forgotten password from Chrome?

Posted on October 3, 2022

Question from Helen:  I have an account with a popular online business forum and I’ve forgotten my password.

I can still log in because Chrome has stored the password, but I’m afraid something will happen and the password will disappear on me.

Even though the password is saved I can’t read it because all it shows is a bunch of asterisks.

I tried resetting the password by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link, but it isn’t working.

Is there any way to retrieve my current password from Chrome or am I just out of luck?  [Read more…]

I’m sure there are plenty of people who like and use this new feature, but I don’t know any of them.

Question from Heather G.:  The Chrome browser on my Windows 10 PC keeps crashing on me.

Sometimes it’ll just freeze and other times the window just blanks out and turns white. It happens every time I load Chrome, but sometimes it’ll take a couple of minutes.

I tried to uninstall Chrome using the “Add or remove program” thingy in Control Panel, but it gives me this error message:

“Please close all Google Chrome windows and try again.”

It does this even though there are no Chrome windows open. Rebooting doesn’t help either. How can I delete Chrome from my computer so I can reinstall it?
