Well, an old familiar Facebook hoax is making the rounds again.
This time around it’s being spread primarily via chat and instant messages, and unfortunately it seems to be spreading like wildfire.
As usual, there are several variations of this scam, and you will probably end up receiving several of them before this round of the scam runs its course.

If you’ve been using Facebook for a while you surely know that scams abound on that site.
And as the latest scam proves, the scammers are getting bolder all the time.
And as you will soon see, this one is nothing more than straight-up fraud.
Facebook is a wonderful venue for sharing information, photos and fun with friends, but unfortunately it is also a haven for scammers.
Every post you see and every message you receive must be viewed with a skeptical eye if you want to avoid falling victim to those who are out to cause you grief or separate you from your money.
Now there is a type of scam making the rounds that is even more insidious than most. Scammers are making virtual copies of real Facebook accounts by copying the photos and info from the real account’s “About” page to the fake ones. They then send friend requests to the friends listed on the real account.
If you’ve been on Facebook recently you’ve probably seen lots of cool-looking photos that have been altered to look like drawings and other such adaptations.
Unfortunately, this is one of those apps that puts your privacy at serious risk.
First, we’ll start with the bad news…
