How to make sure you’ll never get locked out of your Facebook account

Posted on June 17, 2021

I frequently receive frantic messages from Facebook users asking how they can regain access to their accounts when they’re unable to reset their passwords.

People find themselves in this situation because Facebook has determined that it’s better to have some people locked out of their accounts forever than to make it easy for hackers to reset the passwords of unsuspecting users.

It always bothers me to have to tell someone I won’t be able to help them get back into their Facebook account, but unfortunately that’s just the reality we are faced with for the time being.

Q&A: Strange posts are being published on my blog without my permission. How can I stop it?

Posted on February 1, 2021

Question from Melvin:  I have a “health and wellness” blog that I’ve been writing for over four years now. It runs on WordPress.

Sadly, dealing with spammers is just a fact of life for those of us in the blogging world.

SPAM comments are usually very easy to recognize because they typically have nothing whatsoever to do with the actual content of the post and they typically contain links to sites selling everything from designer sunglasses to, well…”adult” products.

If you allow SPAMMY comments to be left on your blog they’ll quickly have a negative effect on your traffic numbers.

Even worse, the visitors who do manage to find their way onto your blog will likely leave rather quickly, never to return.

Luckily, there are some things you can do to virtually block all SPAM comments from your blog:  [Read more…]

If it seems like the scammers of the world are getting more devious by the day, it’s because they are.

While Facebook, Twitter and many other popular social media sites are constantly being used as world-wide playgrounds for the miscreants, the ease with which they can can cause harm to innocent people grows by the day.
