Scam alert: Beware the insidious ‘Amen’ scam that’s targeting Christians on Facebook

As you probably know by now, Like and Share Farming is a popular method used by scammers to quickly build successful Facebook pages that they can use to scam other Facebook users.

In a nutshell, the scammer uses innocent-looking (and often heart-tugging) posts to attract thousands of “Likes” and “Shares” to a new page to make it “popular” among the Facebook community.

Well, there’s a rather insidious form of “Like and Share Farming” taking place right now, and it’s targeting Christians.

These posts are simply another variation of the “Feel Good Posts” that I have written about in the past.

Scam alert: If you’re using the ‘Fast Secure Contact Form’ plugin on a WordPress blog you need to remove it, ASAP!

If your blog is using the popular WordPress plugin Fast Secure Contact Form you need to remove it ASAP and use a different plugin to create your contact forms.

Free upgrades to Windows 10 for users with a disability to end on December 31

As you probably know, Microsoft allowed folks using Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10 for free during the first year after it was released.

That blanket free upgrade offer ended on July 29, 2016, but Microsoft decided to allow users with a disability that requires them to use some form of assistive technology to keep receiving the free upgrades even after the July 29 cut-off date.
