Q&A: Why is one of my PC’s RAM sticks running faster than the other one?

Posted on May 26, 2021

Question from Calvin:  I have two 8GB DDR4 RAM sticks in my computer. They are identical to one another in every way (I bought them a while back as a 16GB kit).

When I log into the BIOS it says one stick is running at 2400Mhz and the other one is running at 2133Mhz.

Q&A: Why are there two different ‘Clicks’ totals in my ‘Constant Contact’ email reports?

I hope you can answer a question for me.

I sometimes get a notification saying there are updates waiting to be installed so I restart the laptop to install the updates.

Back when I was using Windows computers I would always check to see if there were any new updates available first thing every morning.

Is it possible to do that on a Chromebook? [Read more…]

Q&A: Is it possible to build my own Mac from scratch?

Posted on May 20, 2021

Question from Chris B:  I’d really like to have a Mac, but since I can’t afford one I’d like to build a computer and install Mac OS on it.

I know people build their own Windows PCs from scratch all the time.

Can you tell me how to build my own Mac? I have $500 that I can spend on it. Thanks.
