Question from Pam:  Rick, I have recently gotten a new iPhone so I’m giving my old iPhone 11 to a friend.

I have wiped it clean, so I am good there. But now the battery is not staying charged much at all.

I’ve heard that you have to take an iPhone to the Apple store to have the battery changed, or they would give you a new phone.

Well, with my experience I’m pretty sure I can change it myself if I order a battery, and it’ll be cheaper too.

With your knowledge, do you think I should to take this phone to an Apple store to have the battery changed, or can I do it myself? [Read more…]

To be honest I didn’t really understand what he was talking about because he was using a lot of technical terms that went right over my head.

The takeaway from that interview was that some people could benefit from upgrading to a WiFi6 router right away while others can wait a while.

The thing is I don’t know whether I need to upgrade or not. What do I need to know in order to decide? [Read more…]

While some folks might think it frivolous, it’s also important to plan for what you want to happen to your social media accounts after you pass on.  [Read more…]

Q&A: Why is Safari loading pages so slowly on my iPhone?

Posted on December 26, 2021

Question from Rita:  When I first got my iPhone the websites I viewed in Safari loaded real fast.

But lately I’ve noticed that they’re loading a lot slower than they used to.

I guess it could be a virus, but if it is the only thing it seems to be affecting is Safari. Everything else appears to be working normally.

What could be causing Safari to run so slowly now?  [Read more…]
