How to log out of Facebook remotely using a different device

Have you ever logged into your Facebook account at work and forgot to log back out before leaving for the day?

Or perhaps you borrowed a friend’s smartphone to post a quick status update and then handed the phone back to him/her without logging out?

Even worse, perhaps something happened that leads you to believe that someone else (a hacker perhaps?) was logged into your account on a remote device?

Q&A: Why does Facebook make you enter your birthdate if you can just hide it?

Question from Sheryl:  I just finished helping my sister set up a Facebook account and something about the setup process puzzled me.

One of the things they asked for was her birthdate. She didn’t want to enter it but there was no way to skip it.

Since she couldn’t avoid entering a birthdate we simply made one up.

Question from Evelyn:  First off, I really appreciate the service you provide answering people’s tech questions, Rick.

I’s so kind of you to do that. I hope you’ll indulge me with a question of my own.

Sadly, my father passed away a while back, but before he passed he said he wanted me to have two large boxes of VHS tapes containing home videos and family recordings that he had made over the years.

I would really love to transfer the contents of those old VHS tapes to DVDs.
