Well, with all the hacking, spoofing, phishing and malware distribution going on these days, you should be!

Question from Ken:  Our church has a 2 year old Dell laptop in the church office that the pastor and deacons use to access the Internet for research and church business activities.

The laptop connects directly to the modem via Ethernet. For various reasons they don’t want to have a WiFi network in the church, so the only option is to connect via a wired Ethernet connection.

Our problem is the laptop’s Ethernet port no longer works and we’re wondering if it can be replaced?

Question from Donna:  I have a co-worker who said she often uses the free Xfinity WiFi hotspots to access the Internet every time she goes to the beach.

She said Xfinity has hotspots just about everywhere so there might be one I can use when I visit my mom in Cleveland.

How to give a WordPress post an expiration date

If you write a blog, there are probably times when it would be nice to be able to give a blog post or page an expiration date.

For example, lets say you write a post featuring a special you’ll be running for a limited time.

Wouldn’t it be rather handy to have the post automatically expire (and disappear) at the same time the offer expires to ensure that it doesn’t keep extending an offer to readers that’s no longer valid?  [Read more…]
