Today’s featured tech tip….

How to quickly open a folder in new File Explorer tab

If your PC has the latest updates to Windows 11 installed you might have noticed that the File Explorer tool now supports multiple tabs.

And just like with your web browser, you can open a new tab by clicking on the + (plus sign) at the top of the File Explorer window and then browsing to the folder you want to open.

However, if you can already see the folder you want to open in a new tab, you can quickly launch a new tab with that folder already open within it.

There are two ways to open a folder in a new File Explorer tab:

1 – Right-click on the folder you wish to open and select Open in new tab from the menu.

or…

2 – Press and hold the Ctrl key while double-clicking on the folder.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the most useful updates that Microsoft has made to Windows 11. I find myself using it over and over again.

Why it’s wise to ‘make time’ by shifting priorities

People often say they don’t have time to do the important things in life, but for most of us that simply isn’t true.
