Review: Dell Inspiron 3585 15.6″ FHD Laptop

With all the budget-level laptops running Windows 10 in S-Mode on the market these days, I’m always pleased when I happen to see a new low-cost laptop running Windows 10 Home.

I recently had an opportunity to check out the new Dell Inspiron 3585 15.6″ FHD Laptop and I found it to be a fantastic alternative to most of those (slightly) lower priced S-Mode machines.

This laptop has plenty of speed and power for general Internet and home use, yet it fits easily into most consumers’ budgets.

Review: Anker PowerLine+ MicroUSB Cable

Many modern mobile devices still connect to a charger with a standard MicroUSB cable, and if you use them as often as I use mine your cables probably become frayed and worn out pretty quick.

The typical MicroUSB cable just wasn’t designed to withstand frequent use with multiple devices, but I recently had the opportunity to check out one that was.

As you probably know, every generation of technological innovations packs more power into ever smaller packages.

One prime example is the wide array of mini-PCs that recently began to flood the computer market.

I love testing and reviewing these machines so I was pleased when I recently received an Azulle Inspire i5 Fanless Mini PC for review.

With all the programs, web browsers and apps we’re running these days, it seems like our computer screens are never quite big enough as we try to squeeze more and more windows onto our screens.

But that’s changing very quickly now as monitors are growing larger while prices remain the same, and even drop.

I received a beautiful 27″ HP Pavilion 27xw IPS LED Backlit Monitor for review, and since I had never used a monitor that was larger than 23 inches before it was a real eye-opener. [Read more…]
